Break Out by Nina Croft

Nina Croft- 1;a Break Out.jpgThe year is 3048, Earth is no longer habitable, and man has fled to the stars where they’ve discovered the secret of immortality — Meridian. Unfortunately, the radioactive mineral is exorbitantly expensive and only available to a select few. A new class comprised of the super rich and immortal soon evolves.

The Collective, as they’re called, rule the universe.

Two-thousand-year-old Ricardo Sanchez, vampire and rogue pilot of the space cruiser, El Cazador, can’t resist two things: gorgeous women and impossible jobs. When beautiful Skylar Rossaria approaches him to break a prisoner out of the Collective’s maximum security prison on Trakis One, Rico jumps at the chance.

Being hunted by the Collective has never been so dangerous — or so fun.

Dear Reader,

If you love outer space, ‘aliens’, mythology and slightly fucked up ‘love at first sight’ romances, this is totally the book to check out. Rico’s a vampire in the far future, an ancient mythological being placed in the setting of the future. How awesome is that???

But dude, it’s not even the fact that there’s fangers and space ships brought together. Rico’s a total horn dog, and his relationship with his female captain is major goals in the m/f friendship zone. He and his crew were fun to be around, and I loved when Sky came onto the scene, because she was this mildly naive officer who thought she was getting away with all the sneakiness.

funny happy laughing laugh kate mckinnon

Hot sex scenes with the attraction between the two MCs, major hilarity going on between the stars, and with a great writing style that flows well and keeps you engaged with their missions, you can’t really help but devour this thing. God knows I did.

Happy Reading,

A Little Darling
