City girl and serial non-dater, Affrica Clarke travels to Boulia, Australia, to investigate the environmental impacts of the local mining company.

Unless she proves herself and wins that promotion, she’ll lose so much more than a pay raise. Yet everything goes wrong the moment she lands in the outback. So when a sexy cowboy offers to play chauffeur, she’s all over it. But she’s there to shut down the mining activities, not fawn over the guy who’s supporting them, no matter the sizzling attraction between them.

Can Sam let go of the past before he loses the one person who’s finally breatehd new life into him, or is it not possible to truly tame a jackaroo?

Dear Reader,

This book is between four and five stars for me, but I ended up on the higher end of the star rating because it was so different. Usually the settings go right over my head but I actually enjoyed whatever Affrica experienced in Australia. And I haven’t read about many MC archaeologists, and though reckless billionaires are about up there with me, it was still interesting seeing an ‘Aussie cowboy’ in all his beautiful glory… I was going somewhere with this. I had a good point that went beyond his bad boy persona. Damn it.

Affrica and Sam have different goals in life, one struggling to pay her father’s bills while the other struggles to find the next big thrill on defying death. I liked how the book got into depth with them as the pages were turned, and the more invested I was in their lives, the more this thing became interesting to me, for reasons beyond their chemistry and the evil corporate companies ruining mother earth. They were just weirdly satisfying. Cringe-worthy first impressions but if anything, it only added to the appeal. Add in the lessons they learned along the way, and the nice conversations they used to stay sane with their friends and families (Meeeeebe!!!) and you get a pretty perfect romance novel. It was an overall entertaining read that was hot, interesting and for once taught me about the tourist attractions down under. Recommended read if you love your cowboys awkwardly adorable and your heroines scarily passionate and stubborn.

Happy Reading,

A Little Darling
