Not all scars are visible. But even the invisible ones can cut deep enough to permanently mar your soul.

I would know.

My soul has been broken for over half of my life. The ones who should’ve loved me pushed me away. And others who pretended to care for me just caused more damage.

To my family, I was a constant reminder that ripped us apart. To most, I was nothing more than a pretty face. I begun to doubt redemption and respect would ever be possible… until I met him.

He was everything I needed and everything I couldn’t allow myself to want.

But if I couldn’t outrun my past, maybe he could burn it all away.

Dear Reader,

Friendship. If there’s one thing this author does amazingly well in, it’s friendship. This is the third book I’ve read of hers and I have loved the friendship that is formed between the hero and heroine as the story progresses. It teases the instant attraction between the two and makes you want to see them finally do something when they’re resisting, and even when they’re doing it for the right reasons, you seriously want to at least see something happen. I love that this couple had time in the book to find what they enjoyed about each other, it’s like you get to fall in love with them the same time they are.

Violet’s past was a bad one and it’s made her stronger for it. It really brought up the suspense and made things with Hunter’s family all the sweeter. There was maybe one part in this entire book that I felt was a little much, but otherwise I thought the way everything else played out was cool. I thought she was funny and sassy and I liked her work ethic. Her story was an enjoyable one, and watching her deal with her attraction toward Hunter was entertaining. They really are adorable together. Hunter had his own issues but it was never something that kept getting in the way of me enjoying the story. It was a support pillar, but not something constantly thrown in my face. It, with the other things, helped the story to grow until it was appropriate to focus on it. I liked that a lot.

The supporting characters in this were pretty good. Some more basic than others, but I liked their purpose. The ending was a HEA but I enjoyed them so much, I was a little bummed that it ended right there. I’d recommend it to those who enjoy romcoms.

Happy Reading,

A Little Darling
